We tour Ephesus with a very good guide Sinisi. We were both here in the 80s and MB again in 90s. We are amazed how much has been excavated. It is certainly one of the best archeological sites in the world. What was very new for us is the reconstruction of the seven terrace houses which must have been spectacular. Also the second and larger theatre which seated 20000 people and demonstrated the city had 200000 population in 2nd century AD. Our guide explains that St Paul preached here for 2 days.
We had lunch at the very traditional family restraunt Seven Sleepers great food at low prices. Delicious Gozleme Turkish savory pancakes.
We are staying at Izmir the night to take the boys to the airport tomorrow.
