Gozek is in the same bay as Fethiye but it is so busy with boats every where it is difficult to find a suitable anchorage. We anchor in a stunning bay surrounded by high treed mountains. It is so hot a strong wind coming off the land feels like plus 40 degrees.
Marcus remembers Cleopatra 's bay, he and others take off in the tender to search for it. Lachy returns to say they have found it and request snorkeling gear and champagne. Cleopatra's bay is beautiful plus a lot cooler, apparently why Mark Antony and Cleopatra built their baths here. The baths are so interesting Janet spends about an hour swimming around and through the ruins of the baths.
There are great walks around this area so we set off to explore the surrounding bays before enjoying our French champagne.
Fri 13th. We are now back in a bay near Marmaris. We thought we would have a lazy day but the idea of sitting still was too much. We go skurfing. First JB on surf ski then the stand up paddle board. Everyone including the crew wants a go. The whole adventure creates lots of hilarious action. Ford and Lachy take the trophy with them both standing up together on the board.
We finish the day with a pirate party and farewell to Lachy as Niells is coming back. Ford and Paris are going home. Marcus and Nora are going to Samos.
