Saturday 27th August Today we drove from Cap D’Antibes to Levanto a distance of about 300kms and it took us about 4.5 hours. Today was really tunnels and viaducts. We didn’t count the viaducts but we did go through 219 tunnels. The shortest was 75m the longest we think was 3212m. There were lots and lots of them. Friday 26th August Today we spent all day down at Plage de Garoup. We found ourselves a couple of cheap loungers and an umbrella and made ourselves comfortable. Wasn’t too long and we had to have a swim and we got a table at the restaurant right next to where our loungers were. Omelet for me and crepe for Jannie plus of course the beer. Wednesday 24th August The only reason that I’m filling in today is for Mum who thought that we had lost a day previously on the trip. We breakfasted on the terrace, bus to town for lunch where it was tooo hot, back to the hotel, reading sleeping, swimming, drinking – really just blobbing out. Tuesday 23rd August It’s a funny feeling seeing buses with Cannes, Nice, St Tropez on the front and ordinary people getting on them. We never hear anything but glamor about these places back home. Today we decided to go to the Isle Sainte Marguerite for the day.
