After a short flight and bus journey, we were dropped off outside the guest house we thought might be ok to stay in. Giving Jamie the benefit of the doubt, he went to check the room before we agreed to stay there. At $3 a night, it seemed a bit too good to be true. It was...
The walls of our 3x4 room were lined with thick grease that actually looked like gravy. The bathroom didn't hold much promise either with the awful smell coming from it. And that was before Jamie had been in there. It just about did it for Rach when an infestation of flying ants started to roam the room. Jamie was adament however that we were staying there, it was all part of the 'experience' and we just needed to put our mosquito net up. Even when they started craweling in the net with us, he still wasn't moving. It wasn't until a strop later, we packed up our stuff and headed for a hotel with pest control on sight! Rach checked that room out!
Krabi Town was a lovely little fishing harbour with great food stalls and relaxed bars. After Stuffing our faces for 3 quid, we ended up in a western ranch bar sipping cocktails.
