Thank god, we headed back into civilization - KL, to get some shopping done. After a long hot walk from the bus station to find accommodation, we had to settle on the jungle lodge guest house. The rooms here were the length of the single beds - sorry, mattresses on the floor, with a foot in between one another to keep our bags. But it was clean with no bed bugs so we settled for it.

We found a brand new shopping centre with topshop and mango and zara etc, so spent good 2 days walking round this. And, after 2 haircuts and $30 down the drain, Rachel was finally happy with her haircut. We did plan to but a nice digital SLR camera, but after coming to our sense, we decided we didn't have $300 to spend on it.

On our way back one afternoon, we saw a wild monkey on the roadside - strange seeing as we were in a big city. We had to spend 2 hours in China town while Jamie haggled for a pair of trainers, which he did eventually buy, but only after the guy came looking for him to give him 'special special price'.

And then from here, it was onto Singapore.
