Day 7: Think we got the date for yesterday's entry wrong. again!! Anyway. Today is Sunday. We got the Glacier Express through the beautiful Alps today from Zermatt through the "Swiss Grand Canyon" and through the Oberwald pass at 2,000+ metres above sea level. There were too many beautiful sights to mention here but safe to say we will never forget it. Big blow was that we couldn't get any really good pics cos of the reflection of the windows. Massive shame ...

Day 6: Today we just chilled out and enjoyed the scenery. We got an unspoilt view of the mighty Matterhorn for most of the morning and early afternoon and we had some great Tapas in the Italian-Swiss-English restaurant :o) Looking forward to the Glacier Express tomorrow - can't wait!!! Managed to buy loads of great touristy rubbish and we are now collecting key-rings and postcards and all sorts of stuff hehe :o) James and Ellie

Day 5: Today we left Lausanne to head to Zermatt. Was our first real day of proper travelling! Three stunning train journeys later we arrived in Zermatt. We'll miss Lausanne and the lake but seeing the scenery on the way has already made it worthwhile. We arrived just in time to put our tent up and get to the local shops for supplies. Day 4 Today we went to Pully which is just down the lake from Lausanne. It`s a very pretty and very special place for Ellie. For those of you who don`t know, Ellie`s Granny on her Mum`s side was from here. The place has moved on quite a lot from when she used to herd goats :o) We went down to the lake and dangled our feet in the water. Day 3: Got the train to Morges after lugging all our bags back through Genève... mine seemed heavier... We found the campsite relatively easily after getting off at the right stop ( :o0 ) and getting directions from a random, but nice man.
