QT with Rob and Amanda
James and I drove to Wanaka for another night in a house, what a treat and Rob and Amanda joined us the next day. Unfortunately it was a miserable day so we didn't do too much, but it was great to see them again. We all hit the road in the morning heading back for Queenstown. We found a campsite with the perfect location, right on the edge of town. James was getting excited about the opportunity to play crazy golf again so almost as soon as we arrived we were back out and playing. He was right the course is brilliant, James and Rob had a slight advantage as they had already played the course but Amanda and I held our own (well if you didn't count our shocking attempts at the start of each hole!). We finally decided on a choice of meal for the evening and stayed there for a few cheeky drinks whilst being thoroughly entertained by a guy, who we presumed was gay as he danced along to Lady GaGa and many other pop artists, knowing all the dance moves from the videos!
The next day was Waitangi day and the weather was looking good so we went back to endure some more Frisbee golf; without the gale force winds this time. Amanda enjoyed it but I don't think when they come to stay they will ever beat the douche bag from the shop who didn't even wanna tell us how many holes in one he has got or what his best score was. What a geek! Amanda and Rob took a trip up the gondola to see the view and James and I went for a walk up another hill to a sculpture named 'Basket of Dreams'. It was a easy walk and we were rewarded with a beautiful view over QT. In the evening Amanda and I made a delicious caesar salad and then we hit the town again to meet with Dan and Joc, two guys we met in Fiji. It was such a good evening Dan and Joc are so nice and we feel like we have known them for ages. Rob and Amanda hit it off with them so they will at least know two friendly faces when they move here. We had to bail reasonably early as James and I had booked to do something crazy the next day and we had to leave at 9:30 the next morning. We promised we'd see Dan and Joc again, maybe when we move to Canada!
