Sukhothai Day 2 (19.06.2012): Today we started with a lovely breakfast at 'Thai Thai'. What a great start. We hired bicycles and headed for the historical park. The park is an ancient capital of Thailand and contains ruins of temples from the 12th and 13th century. It is now a UNESCO world heritage site. Sukhothai Day 1 (18.06.2012): Early start today. All feeling like zombies after 4 sleepless nights in Chiang Mai and cannot wait to leave our hostel. We caught a bus from Chiang Mai to Sukhothai today. The bus was far nicer than I expected: Aircon and comfy seats. It was such a nice journey.. Way more comfortable than our hostel. Chiang Mai Day 3 (17.06.2012). Today we awoke bright and early from a sleepless night (can't wait for the aircon in our next place) - backpack on we headed to school. Thai cooking school that is! Our cooking school was called Asia Scenic Cooking school. I couldn't recommend them enough. We had great fun. Chiang Mai Day 2 (16.06.2012). What an amazing day! Today we visited the Elephant Nature Park and spent the day feeding and bathing the elephants. My favourite day up to yet! The park was set up in the 1990s and provides a sanctuary and rescue centre for elephants across Thailand. The founder of the park is an incredible woman named Lek Chailert.
