Chiang Mai Day 2 (15.06.2012): Awoke in our not so nice hostel (see cover photo) after taking a shower (if that was possible in our current bathroom) we found ourselves a taxi (a red van, the driver was our guide for the day) and headed to Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep. Chiang Mai Day 1 (14.06.2012): Just arrived in Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand with island blues. We awoke early at 'Lime N Soda' to catch the 7:15 ferry to Koh Samui. After spending the best part of the day at Big Buddha beach we caught a taxi to the airport. After a change over at Bangkok (and a meal on each plane!) we landed in Chiang Mai at 18:15. Koh Phangan Day 4 (13.06.2012). Wonderful day today. We were picked up from 'Lime N Soda' by our tour company 'Safari Boat' and headed for our speed boat and the start of our tour around the Angthong National Marine Park. The park is a protected nature area consisting of over 40 islands, and is famous for its natural beauty. It really is outstanding. Our first stop was to a coral reef where we snorkelled.. Koh Phangan Day 3 (12.06.2012). Today was trek Tuesday. After a lazy morning at the beach and pool we sadly said goodbye to our gorgeous Green Papaya resort and headed to Thongsala and our new (cheaper) accommodation, Lime N Soda resort.
