Sydney (26.08.2012): Boy it was loud in our hostel last night. We have the room by reception and the front door. There were people coming in and out all the way through the night. We heard a few glorious drunken songs! Oh for a good night's sleep!

The hostel made up for the lack of sleep with free breakfast including nutella - yum! We were soon off exploring making for the botanic gardens and a nice walk all the way to the Sydney Opera House. We stopped at a great viewing point to take photos of both the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. Love this city it has everything: beaches, sea, harbours, great shops, amazing buildings..

After a walk around Circular Quay we decided to hop on the famous Manly ferry for a great ride through the harbour to Manly where we hit Surfer's Beach for a couple of hours. Manly is amazing. So many nice surf shops. We stayed for an hour or so before catching the ferry back to Sydney and walking around the city. Typically the town hall was covered in scaffolding as have many of the iconic buildings we have visited on our travels. Oh well!

All in all a great day in an awesome city. More to be seen tomorrow (our last proper day of travelling)!
