We had an early start on the 9th to get to the airport for our flight to Boston - 29th flight. Jacqui tried for an upgrade - but got nowhere!!!! She even rang AA to try for an upgrade on the last leg but they wanted money!!!! How dare they We arrived on time but spent a while getting to our accommodation as the service was reduced on Sunday. We are staying at the Berkeley Residence with lots of students!! it is OK - again another cheap way of living We headed out for a late lunch and to try and find the Ireland Rugby union - we found lunch in an Irish bar with good Guiness but no rugby. Lunch was great though
On the 10th we headed off into town to walk the Freedom Trail - a historic walk that takes you around sites important in the indepence struggle from the British. We saw Paul revere's House (the man who rode though Boston to let the American's know the british were coming), the tallest spire in Boston, the USS Consitution - old navy ship and lots more. It was a very nice way to spend the day. That night we had Dinner at the oldest restaurant in Boston its been there since 1826 - Ye Olde Union Oyster House - the oysters were not that good say Neen but Jacqui tried the Clam Chowder - it was good.
On the 11th the rain came so we decided to have a laundry day Jacqui did some internet and Neen did the washing. We went for lunch on a posh street near us called Newbury street where all the designer shops are - Neen had oysters - they were not good! Neen then headed off for a walk to Boston Common and we had a nice quiet night.
