Wednesday, July 9:
We awoke to the sunset at Berry Springs Caravan Park and got ready to hit Darwin early. We headed into the city and decided to go straight to Mindil Beach to check out the sand and water that we had missed so dearly due to Winter in South Australia. We walked along the beach picking shells and dipping our feet in the water; it was wonderful. We then made our way to Mitchell Street to find the Transit Centre and some lunch. We had lunch at a pub and made our way to catch the bus for our Jumping Crocodile Tour on the Adelaide River. The bus didn't show up on time and by the time we made it out to the river the boat had left which led to a one-hour telephone conversation to the tour company and a bus load of upset tourists. We finally made it on to the boat at 4:30 and had a great tour along the river seeing some amazing wildlife and some huge crocs! Layla had a blast and after that we headed back in to Darwin to drive back to the campground and have a sleep until our next day which we have planned to spend Deep Sea Fishing, watching the sunset at Mindil Beach and hitting the Mindil Beach Market!
