On Friday we drove from Katherine to Timber creek and then we drove a little way out and we stayed at big horse creek. We saw lots and lots of big boab trees. We set up then went for a look down at the river. It was a nice river but there is saltwater crocs in it. Then we went back and had a look at some of the big, fat boab trees. They are fat because they store water inside them. Then we had a rest wile dad had a fish along the river. When dad was creeping down the bank he looked if there was any crocs. There was a small female one there but it ran back into the water and swam away. In an hour we met dad at the boat ramp so we could have a fish while Mum and dad watched the sunset. The next day we packed up and went to Timber creek and had a look. There wasn't much there except for a few shops. Then we went to zebra rock mine and campground. Zebra rock is only found in this part of the world and geologists still are only guessing at how it is made! We found a few zebra rocks and a lady showed us how to polish them. You need to put some sandpaper and the rock in the water then you need to scrub it with the rough grade sand paper until it's smooth. Then you get another medium grade and do the same until it's smooth. Then get another soft grade and do the same again. After dinner we went and listened to a lady sing.
