Didn't get much sleep as, crossing about 6 time zones, we weren't very tired. Off at 07.00 for the 80 k trip to see the Bridge over the River Kwai (really the River Mae Khlung). Due to the Tropical Storm the roads were difficult to pass so it took over 2 1/2 hours to get there. Arrived in Bangkok and took the monorail to the Grand Easton Hotel. This was a bit chaotic negotiating three changes of trains and it was amazing how helpful people were in helping us buy our tickets and pointing us to the correct platform. It's clear that there has been heavy rain here recently as the scenery looked decidedly damp! Mr Tinkles is not so happily ensconced in his holiday home with instructions he can have anything he wants to eat or drink- including car milk and Dreamies No problems with the bus and coach to Heathrow and took off on time at 22.00. After stressing about being over weight with the baggage I weighed in at 19.1 Kgs So far so good.
