Didn't get much sleep as, crossing about 6 time zones, we weren't very tired. Off at 07.00 for the 80 k trip to see the Bridge over the River Kwai (really the River Mae Khlung). Arrived in Bangkok and took the monorail to the Grand Easton Hotel. This was a bit chaotic negotiating three changes of trains and it was amazing how helpful people were in helping us buy our tickets and pointing us to the correct platform.
