So we have decided to move to Mount Maunganui because it's closer to the beach - we actually moved a bit quicker than expected! We gave 2 weeks notice to our flatmate last Friday as we felt bad about moving out, but really wanted to live by the beach. A few days later she sent us a text that she was also moving out and wanted us out by the weekend so she can sell furniture?!?! So much for us being nice and giving notice! We had 2 days to organise ourselves, but we just left straight away anyway and stayed in our van by the beach over the weekend. We wanted to leave anyway because she'd been acting really off since we told her we were leaving and it was awkward for everyone. It was quite cool staying in the van, and one of Jack's friends from home was over with his girlfriend, they had also hired a van and we went to Papamoa, and to McLaren Falls which is just on the outskirts of Tauranga.

We've both taken up surfing, and have been surfing each weekend - when we get settled in to our new place, and daylight savings is next weekend, we'll hopefully be able to go out in the evenings aswell.

Last night we stayed with Jed and Sarah - Jed works with Jack at Smith and Smith. They put us up for the night, and fed us a roast dinner - it was so good! The rest of the week we have booked into a backpackers (Monday - Thursday) they don't have any room on Friday so we'll be in our van by the beach again, then eventually we'll be in our new place - so looking forward to that!!
