We headed up to Auckland last Saturday to catch our flight to Sydney. Mr Jingles held up well and had no problems! We got to our friends and ended up having quite a big night out before our flight, which is never a good idea! With an early morning flight on the Sunday, we were both feeling a bit worse for wear, but got to G&G's apartment about 12.00 on the Sunday.

The apartment was lovely with a nice view, and it was good to see everyone - Lynne and Ian were still there aswell, but were leaving that evening. That night we had a thai takeaway (which Ryan joined us for!) and had an early night so we could recover! The next day we went for breakfast at the rocks after walking over the harbour bridge! We then took a ferry to Manly (it was just like i remember it!!). On the way back from Manly we stopped for a glass of wine and some olives at the opera bar - very nice!!

The next day we visited Darling Harbour and Botany Bay, had a paddle there and lunch. We also went to Watsons Bay, had the famous fish and chips and I went for a swim. We had thunder storms that night, and that was the weather for the rest of the time.

On Saturday afternoon, we went to Chinatown for lunch with friends, then went to watch Ryan play cricket, but he was already out when we got there!!! The weather cleared up on Saturday night, which was nice because we went out with Lesley and Jack's friend Pete who had flown up from Melbourne to visit, and i met up with Joni and Will, people I worked with in the foundry in Perth. We went out to the Opera Bar and then to a few bars in the rocks, it was a good night!

Sunday was a very lazy day all feeling a bit worse for wear! Lesley has a game on the PS2 called Guitar hero, and we played it all day, got addicted to it it is so cool!

Our flight back was 11.40 on the Monday - we were delayed an hour because the pilots door wouldn't lock and they wanted to fix it before they took off. Flight was good (a bit bumpy though!) and we got back to Auckland at about 6.00pm. Still had our drive back to the mount, which was ok - we only broke down once!!!!

Been back at work for a week now, although we had Wednesday off because it was Waitangi Day. On Sunday I am heading up to Auckland to meet Jacqui and we are flying down to the South Island on Monday. We'll come back up to meet Jack and then go and pick his friend up from Auckland.
