We did the touristy bit today: got a taxi to the Mocanita train station, and took the steam train up into the mountains. It's the CFF route - the last forest railway route in Europe. Aparently until the late 1980's they were still building the steam locomotives, and they were running on 2000 miles of railway tracks. Twisty and tiring day today: mountain roads with loads of twists and holes everywhere... the scenery though? absolutely amazing. We crossed into the county of Maramures, with great customs and traditions, great scenery, and ofcourse great food.
