Yesterday we rode back up to Haad Salad and booked the garden view bungalow there for 6 nights from Sunday 14th. We spent the afternoon there, went for a swim. It was quite hot and sunny. We came back home and has dinner at the restaurant where we rented the bike.. Pae Pae. Very nice food! Cheap! And entertaining!
Today we rode down to Haad Rin where the full moon party is held each month. We were expecting it to be quite tacky and dirty but were so surprised!!! It was beautiful!! White sand and crystal clear water! And very peaceful. The ride down is very steep and hilly. And very pretty views! Reminded me of the views in Portofino but at a fraction of the price! No wonder though that there are motorbike accidents with the inexperienced riders trying to negotiate these roads... Not for the faint hearted!! And also maybe not for the intoxicated!! Very steep and needing the brake to work well!!! We had lunch there and then a swim. Great place to swim as not too shallow as a lot of other beaches are here. We rode back to Thong Sala and visited the walking street there. Bought our dinner to take back to the cottage. Cost about 200 baht. Also bought dessert of banana cinnamon pancake and durian. Phew !! Lauri loved the durian though!!! Not for me!!
