Cool and Wet in Abetone!
It was a much cooler day and there was a bit of rain about! Although the morning was still nice and sunny!
We went for a drive in the afternoon. Up more narrow winding roads to the village of Grasciana, as Lauri was sure it was the village in the hills we could see from the house. We can see the bell tower at the top of the hill. Probably is.... But another crazy winding road. Think it entertains him to see me use my brake foot on the passenger side! Lovely village though, but, not as good as Lucignana!
We then drove to Abetone, a ski resort just an hour or so from Bagni di Lucca. As we went up the mountain the weather started to close in on us. Very cloudy! By the time we got up the top it was raining and quite cold. Very different to the weather we had left behind. By the time we drove back down again it was like the rain had followed us. Was much cooler in the valley but the rain had stopped. First night that we won't be sitting outside until late as a bit chilly!
