Tuesday 14th July
We got up yesterday morning and drove to New Orleans. We stopped at 11 to do the swap tour which was brilliant. It was a little boat trip around the swamp spotting alligators. The boat tour man was great, he was feeding the alligators so we would get to see them better then he was petting them and everything. It was brilliant!! We then went to Wallmart to get lunch and drove to the accommodation. We have a big house place all to ourselves for 2 nights, it's really cool. We had a chilling few hours of sitting by the pool, doing some laundry, had a shower and got changed. We all met in the living room at 6pm to go out for dinner. We went to a really nice restaurant for dinner, everyone was so happy with the food they had! I got a cocktail in there called hurricane and when I asked for it they said they would get us water with it too. That was the first sign of it was going to be a good night! When we left there we went to get a hand grenade, it's a special cocktail that you can only get in 5 places in New Orleans, no one knows what's in it its all secret recipe. So we drank that as we walked up the street. We got into one club bar place for free which had a look out point at the top. We got given a handful of necklace beads each that we had to throw down at people on the street. We found the other group and started throwing beads at them so they came in as well. We all had a brilliant night going between pubs, drinking and dancing to live music. Everyone had a great night. We got back to the house at about 2:30, got something to eat then headed for bed. A fantastic night!
