Monday 6th July
Yesterday morning we got up and left cowboy camp. It was an amazing campsite so was a bit gutted to be leaving there. We went to the supermarket and got some shopping for the next few days at camp. We then went on to see horseshoe bend which was absolutely amazing! What an experience! We then drove to the Grand Canyon. When we got there Emily decided to blind fold us all and walk us all down to the canyon so we would all get the shock together. It wasn't such a good idea at the time trying to walk that distance blindfolded but when we were all lined up and took our blindfolds off together we realised how much of a great idea it was. Absolutely loved it! What a shock at how beautiful it is. We then went up the watch tower to see over the canyon, it really is so beautiful! We went back up to the bus and drove to the campsite. I went and did some laundry and then went up to camp for dinner. We had chicken fajitas and tacos. After dinner we all sat around the campfire, toasted marshmallows again, cooked some campfire popcorn which was really good! JD was at the same camp site as us so Clair and me were really excited to see him. He came over and sat at our camp for a wee bit before walking us over to the camp he was staying at, it was only 2 pitches down from us do only a 2 minute walk. We sat with his group and had a nice catch up reunion with him which was lovely. Really miss JD, he was a fantastic tour guide and was brilliant with us all so it was brilliant to catch up with him.
