Today we were relatively fresh from our sleep... Steven had passed out within minutes of hitting the sack but unfortunately we were sharing the dorm with some excitable Canadian girls, who were heading to Bali at 3am. Therefore they all showered at midnight and sat chatting excitedly before leaving in the early ours of the morning... When I could eventually sleep.
Steven went downstairs and had some noodles while I got dressed then after a coffee we headed out... I had decided that for today I was going to forget I was a backpacker and pretend I was at home. I knew I would be in an air conditioned shopping centre all day so straightened my hair and left it down, put on some make up and wore a nice dress... We walked the ten minute walk to the sky train, which en route Steven munched some local street food. That was always something we loved about Thailand... Absolutely amazing and varied street food! He was happy to be back. Soon enough we were at the sky train and heading to Central World, which is one of the big shopping malls. Steven wanted to find a Super Rich, which is a money exchange place that enables you to swap your US dollars for brand new crisp ones (Myanmar only except new, untarnished or unfolded post 2006 dollars).
While he was doing that I was revelling in the mall... I scoped out Dorothy Perkins and Topshop before finding a Boots and getting a little bit giddy at the soap and glory counter. I collected some supplies and paid before waiting for Steven to return outside a Starbucks... Soon enough he came striding in and we headed for the the Siam Paragon mall where H&M was located. I was hoping to find some new three quarter length trousers as mine were stupidly big but they didn't really have any... The closest thing they had were some cotton trousers but they were £25, I didn't buy them as the were too expensive but I revelled in the fact that I had dropped a couple of sizes.
After hanging out in H&M we wandered back to Central World where we found a Yoshinoya for a bite to eat before continuing on our spree where I eventually found a cheap bikini on sale and replaced some vest tops. By now it was getting late so we headed back to the hostel... Stopping on route at a supermarket to buy some noodles and munchies. Once back we ate the noodles with some bread and then retired in the lounge where a movie was playing. We spent the evening watching movies while I chatted with my poor wee brother who had really hurt his arm slipping on some ice. We then fell into bed about one am.
