Today we woke up late at about nine thirty and although a hundred per cent better I didn't want to push Steven too much so we put of Angkor Wat till tomorrow. We had a slow morning sorting our clothes, showering and just generally enjoying a chill out.
After we were finished we headed out and got Steven some fried noodles as he was starving and I was glad to see his appetite was back to normal. By now it was nearly midday and as it was St Paddy's day we we decided to head over to our favourite roof top bar where they had beers at 35 cents. We took up a pew on a big leather sofa bed type thing which was stupidly comfortable and lounged. We then spent the afternoon relaxing, catching up with friends and chilling with a beer or two. In fact by the end of the afternoon we had drank five beers each and the bill? $3.50... Craziness. We thanked the staff and headed off back to our hotel to freshen up, once freshened we headed up to meet the guys on the terrace and have a catch up. We had thought they were at Angkor Wat today but they hadn't gone either, so we agreed to get a tuk to together tomorrow and share the fare.
We sat with them for a while before heading down stairs to have a beer with Mr Why Not's friend... Mr Beer O'clock and an Irish couple before Dan and Rosie joined us later. The Irish couple were leaving for Kampot tonight so were enjoying a few beers before the bus. She was a photographer so we had a good chat about photos and stuff before the others joined us and the beers got flowing.
The group were heading out for 'happy' pizzas, which are basically a normal pizza sprinkled with weed and me and Steven once again couldn't believe how much weed people do whilst travelling... We politely declined and headed to a Khmer restaurant for some food. We ordered some soup and noodles and it was yummy. We were then meant to meet the guys in Molly Malones for a drink but we were both shattered and knew it would end up being a very messy night. This is all very well and good but as we were heading to Angkor Wat at five am I didn't think it wold be the wisest move so instead we chilled and cuddled up in front of the telly... A rare luxury we haven't had for a while... We then feel fast asleep.
