We actually woke up feeling surprising refreshed after our long slog yesterday at the temples. Although the wats were amazing, we were both relieved not having to go out in that heat again! After resting for most of the morning we had decided to head out to grab some refreshments. Today we woke up late at about nine thirty and although a hundred per cent better I didn't want to push Steven too much so we put of Angkor Wat till tomorrow. Today we had called off any activity as I knew Steven may feel rough again this morning, he had slept little last night so was shattered this am. We decided to get some fresh air and buy some food he fancied from the supermarket which wasn't far from our hotel. Today I woke to Steven staring at me and telling me the time repeatedly and impatiently, we had said we would get up early and he had been snoozing since we returned from dinner last night so was well rested. Our tallness did not do us a lot of favours on the bus. Neither of us could get particularly comfortable but we did manage to sleep sporadically. The road between Phnom Penh and Siem Reap was very bumpy in areas and the jolts would just wake you up anyway. I spent a lot of the night updating the blogs and playing card games on the iPad.
