Amsterdam, the city of many faces. Architecture, history, canals and lights of a crimson nature. We had four nights in Amsterdam in a truly abhorrent hostel. That being said, the location was unbeatable. It was right in the centre of town, two minutes from the Dam Square.
We took each day slowly, as we were still recovering from illness. We spent a few hours walking through Anne Frank's house and also took a canal cruise through the major canals of Amsterdam.
No trip would be complete without a visit to a certain district. A lot of the best restaurants are in the area, so it was actually quite a pleasant place to have dinner, but that's about it.
Our wonderful hostel had resident mice, our most frequent visitor was fondly nicknamed Fang and thoroughly enjoyed burrowing through my bag. Quite the experience!
