Okay, so I've been a bit slack with my updates this week. We had 3 nights in Budapest - two of them with our tour group. There's almost 50 of us altogether (cannot remember any names)! Budapest was a very pretty city despite the chill factor.

Fortunately everything seemed to be within walking distance. We looked at parliament, the cable bridge, a few castles, Christmas markets and big squares. We spent a morning at the House of Terror (a museum in a building which was once used to interrogate, imprison and execute people during WW2. Very moving.

We spent the afternoon at the szechenyi baths (outdoor and indoor thermal pools). As the temp outside was about -2, we opted to stay inside in the 38•c pool. After that, we were forced to take a metro back to the hostel as the snow was so heavy.
