Antigua is a beautiful and elegant colonial town, the highlight of the stay was the trip up Volcan Pacaya which oozed with red hot lava. The trip was unlike anything that would ever be allowed in the UK, health and safety were just not issues and we happily clambered over the boiling lava and razor sharp rocks in the dark... Amazing experience, the first of a few good ones with Volcanos! We also bought some goodies in the fabulously colouful artisan markets, danced around the central park lit up with fairy lights for Xmas and got food poisoning from a restuarant..nice!
