We arrived late evening to Christchurch so decided to go straight to a campsite. We found a very posh top 10 holiday park with a heated pool and a fancy kitchen. After dinner we set about planning our south island trip. Christchurch. We were expecting stratford without the shakespeare from the description. It certainly felt much older and distinguished. We walked along the river to the park and walked around some really cool old bookshops and a really funky light shop. We searched for a cheap guitar but we decided we just couldnt afford one (Ian is gutted, but it was via the internet cafe where we did our sums.....its worse than we even thought) So that was christchurch a very familiar English feel. We headed out the beach way out of town to stay at a cheaper camper park. Very odd. It was a throwback to old English campsites but with a kitchen that didnt work properly. After dinner Claire cut my hair, not a bad job indeed.
