After leaving Portland we stopped off at Narrawong to drop of a little baggie of white stuff that resembled drugs, to the police. It was lying on the ground near a picnic table near our van and it hadnt been there the night before! We felt like naughty drug runners driving with it in our possession lol.....we havent heard what it is yet, they are going to notify us.
From Narrawong with travelled through many small towns that took us through the best pasture land we have ever seen. The paddocks are lush and green and the cattle and sheep look soooo healthy. This area is just lovely. Beautiful tree lined streets, green everywhere and quaint little towns with not a lot of distance to travel between them.
We travelled to Hamilton and about 15km out of town there is a free camp site called Wannon Falls. It is gorgeous. We stayed two nights and left the van during to day to travel into Hamilton. There are two waterfalls not far apart, Wannon Falls and Nigretta Falls. Both are lovely. We had a good day walking through the Botanical Gardens, visiting the waterfalls and checking out Hamilton town.

Gail Yes, I would have to agree with you. Such beautiful countryside with exceptional scenic attraction - the best ever, especially those beautiful cows and the gardens were just 'something else'. Breathtaking, to say the least.
Belinda The botanical gardens look beautiful. Look like you had a nice day out :)
