Hunters On The Move 2013
It has been absolutely gorgeous weather 90 per cent of the time since we got here. Yesterday we stopped at Wynyard where we intended to stay the night but they asked us to move on because we didnt have a motorhome, apparently caravans are not welcome!! No worries, they did us a favour as we moved on to Boat Harbour Beach were we were welcomed and it is 10 times better than Wynyard. Turquoise beach and white sand attracted us to this place and the town has been so friendly. We can stay here two nights, self containtained, for free.
Today we travelled to Sisters Beach, Rocky Cape, Stanley, Smithton, Irishtown, Forest and then back to our van in Boat Harbour. Allen made me laugh when a herd of alpacas came running up to him when he was trying to take a photo of them. One of them nearly kissed him! It was hilarious. We had a bit of rain in some places but not enough to stop us from getting out there and enjoying ourselves. Still wearing shorts today!
We havent been near power for 6 days and charging all the electronics is a challenge. I rotate them all (5 items) in the car as we drive to get them charged. We have TV via the van battery.
We have found it advantagous to park the van and take off in the car and do the areas around us without towing the van, as roads here are narrow and winding and very uphill and downdale. So far so good.
