Boy was I glad to get out of Adelaide. Too much traffic for my liking, I think I have developed an aversion to cities.
We left Adelaide this morning and travelled to a quaint little town called Hahndorf, the olders German town in Australia. It has tree lined streets that canopy the road, some of them jacarandas in bloom. There are lots of unusual little shops to explore and german beers and bubs everywhere, as well as german sausages!! We couldnt find anywhere to park the rig, and as we had seen Hahndorf before, we just enjoyed it from the car as we drove through. Lovely little place.
Then we headed to Murray Bridge where we stopped for a coffee and Allen tucked into a pie. After walking the town we decided to find our park for the next couple of days. Wikicamps (IPhone app) recommended Avoca Dell so we headed there. Not so easy to find though. The shire has changed street names and blocked some off! Anyway persistance paid off and we found it. Nice park right on the Murray River where Allen can do some fishing. It is blowing a gale here at the moment so I hope it lets up soon. Grrr TV is not working, we think it is the aerial!
Murray Bridge seems to have a bit to offer so we will post more later.
