After leaving Murray Bridge we travelled to Meningie where we stopped (again) at the bakery for coffee and a pastie as the weather is really cool.
Then onto Kingston through the Coorong area. Kingston is known for its fresh lobsters. People travel hours to come and get their fresh lobster. We met a couple that had done just that and then were going to pay $150 for a 2kg fresh lobster to take home!
Kingston also had a lovely bakery and Al decided we would be the speciality of the shop......a huge donut called a crabpot!! We only managed to eat half of it with our coffee and took the rest home for later. We have to stop stopping at these bakeries.....not good for either of us!! We stayed at a free camp spot supplied by the council which was a lovely grassed area opposite the jetty, great spot. But it was so cold and windy Allen couldnt get out to fish there. We met Steve and Fay and had a bottle of champagne with them.
After two days in Kingston we trip off slowly down the road to a number of nice little coastal towns. Robe, lovely, I could live there. Beachport, would be perfect if the weather was nice. Millicent, nah I didnt like this one, and then on to Mt Gambia where we parked at the showground camp area - $20 pn with power and water. Mt Gambia is quite large and we havent had a chance to check it out yet but we travelled through miles and miles of pine tree forest which was absolutely beautiful. It covered a huge area as far as the eye could see.

Still in Mount Gambier......we visited Blue Lake which is amazing. Its water is actually blue. They sell small bottles of it in the gift shop! The water turns blue from September until March every year. It is a volcano crater, one of many in the area. We walked up to lookouts and took photos of the Blue Lake, Valley Lake and Mt Gambier with its surrounding pine forrests. Lovely, but this town is too large for me......I couldnt live here.
