We have been travelling inland for some time now, through drought affected areas of NSW and today just crossing the border into Qld. We were reluctant to leave Bingara and the Gwyder River camp area. We ended up staying 4 nights there. A lovely area and so much to see. As you can see by the horses in the Bingara photos. Our night spot was at Bingara (inland from Inverell) at an area near the river. There are heaps of places along the river for campers (all free) and we chose one that is perfect. The running water of the river is very serene and occasionally we see a fish leap out of the water. We are not sure how long we will stay here, maybe a few days. We have taken a distinct liking to these bush camps.....hate caravan parks! Still here and loving it....

Well Tamworth is over and we are now back on the move. We left Chaffey Dam (reluctantly) and drove on to Armidale just for a few hours then on to Uralla for our night spot. After 9 days at the Tamworth Country Music Festival for me and Chaffey Dam for Allen, we are now back on track to continue our travels. The festival was great and it was terrific to catch up with my sister and friend Annie who travelled from Perth to meet me there.
