Let's start with yesterday to give you a brief refresher
8am Harold left the castle to walk down amongst the villagers so lady periwinkle could have a muffin when she awoke. Harold got lost was wandering atop a gravel mountain looking for a main road, got scared when he saw shot gun casings laying on the ground and ran away. 1 1/2 hours later returns to castle no muffins but happy to have found his castle and Dommy./p>
Harold and Dom leave castle and get lost, late 20 minutes to meet car guy.
Rent car and then spend entire day stumbling upon neat thing after neat thing on santorini island, entire time we are lost, figure out where we are, look at a map, get lost again. They have no friggin road signs.
Anyway the theme of yesterday was being lost
Today is beach day. We drive and find beach right away. How that happened we have no idea. Park our car and as we are walking on beach we conclude if you eat at one of the sea side restaurants you can use their palapa all day. I'm in. We have a good meal served right at our palapa for 25 euros including a beer. Can't beat that right.
The beach sand is black but not dirty. The water is crystal clear and warm. So we stayed their all afternoon drinking beer. Big mug of beer $3.50!euros.
The internet is crazy good in Europe. Our plan of having Dom, alex, Chantal, bear and myself all having iPhone s is working great as we face timed Chantal from our beach chair. Of course it was 2 am her time but who cares, this I should about us.
4:30 called it a day and drove to a supemarket to get stuff for supper which consisted of my bride making her famous sandwiches. We had packaged cheese but when we went to the meat counter the lady told us that was crap and provided us with cheese from the display counter. Wow is it good
Anyway, came home and went for a quick dodo's but was awaken by church bells ringing just by our castle. When I mean just by I mean 30 ft away. I can't describe the place we are staying in, it is surreal. The best descriptons are, this would be where characters from game of thrones run through when in a village. Thick cement walls 7 ft tall and maybe 4 ft wide all look the same, with tiny doors branching off. Everything is the same until you get to the top and suddenly there is our castle being a different colour than the rest.
Our room is all cement and rock with tiny little cement stairs leading to our mattress. Our balcony can sit one person and overlooks the village and tops of a church right in front of us and in the distance the Aegean Sea.
Take care it's Netflix and dodo time
See ya tomorrow

Lorine Throughly enjoyed your description as we sit by the fire with our squatter in residence. We will be attending an upcoming meeting regarding the closing of the boat ramp. One of the locals is not happy. Randy says it will never happen but us attending with us. No worries we throughly realize our squatters would not be happy without a boat ramp. This will not happen. Bob just mentioned he will be starting his own blog enroute to BC. He is slightly worried about the long prairie drive featuring a large ball of string as the major highlight.
