We got up and it was cold. It was definitely on the 30s, which we were not expecting. We tried to keep warm by packing up and making breakfast.

After breakfast we all rode our bikes on the nature trail, finished packing up and headed toward Gardiner, MT.

Before we got to Gardiner, we had to stop at Belgrade, MT, at the ACE Hardware to get propane for our camp stove and then to a blacksmith shop Matt, Liam and Seth follow on YouTube. Liam wrote them a letter on our way there and I kept asking them what they were going to say if they had a chance to meet them. Matt assured me that they would not be there since it was a Saturday. When we arrived the door was open and someone was working inside. Matt sort of froze. I grabbed the letter and said we didn't drive all this way to turn around now. So all the boys followed me to the door. The young guy that was working was really friendly. He talked to us for a few minutes, let us watch him work and took the letter Liam had written.

Then we stopped in Bozeman and ate at Olive Garden because Seth was begging us for "actual food." Then I found a grocery store and I went in while the boys sat in the car. I found dried jackfruit for Seth, which he had been asking for since his one pound of jackfruit was gone. He did make it to Idaho before eating it all which was impressive.

We then drove to Yellowstone and entered through the north entrance. We saw really big elk and stopped at the Mammoth Hot Springs. We walked around the Main Terrace and up to the Upper Terrace and back down to the Main Terrace. We drove back up to Gardiner and checked in at the Comfort Inn. Then we walked next door to Outlaws where they had 8 large pizzas and 5 small pizzas left and that was all. So we ordered pizza and walked around the small strip mall shops. We met the owner of one of the shops and he told us that the grizzly bears come in town this time of year to eat the apples. He showed us a video and on the very short walk back to the hotel, across the road, we were alert for bear activity.

We ate the pizza in our hotel room and went to bed soon afterwards.
