Today it was a very early get up, me and Amy set our alarm early as we had gotten into the habbit of being the last up! So we were up and saw another beautiful sunrise over breakfast. We headed out into the game park again early as theres lots to be seen at dawn, we were in search of the allusive Cheetah unfortunately he was no where to be seen but the heard of elephants that crossed all around us was incredible and we saw a lot more animals we could tick off including Buffalo, Baboons, and Hippos, lots more Gazelle, Elephants, Giraffes and Hyenas.
After a full day game spotting we headed off to Ngorongoro crater and camped up on the rim, amongst Zebras, Elephants and Buffalo not too far away! Again no fence! There was hot water which was a real treat! We had a good tea of spaghetti bolognaise and as it was Shelleys birthday so the chefs came through chanting and banging pots and pans about with a cake they'd made on the stove. It was brilliant, they did have to do it a second time though as the first time they came through she was in the toilet, haha! After a good tea we took our drinks, either hot or alcoholic, to the bottom of the campsite where we gathered around a large campfire keep warm. A little bit of a fright came after a small heard of Zebras appeared near by and then Buffalo that sounded as if they were very close! This was when we learnt if you are chased by Buffalo you should Zig Zag before standing the opposite side of a large log- they can only charge in straight lines and apparently can't work out how to get around the log! I was quite happy not to try this out though! After the fire died out we headed back up to our tents and snuggled down under our thick blankets!
