So the 24 hour journey to Bangkok has begun. We're heading off for the second part of the adventure. Livingstone airport was very small not a lot there at all, no cafés either which was disappointing as I'd not been able to have brekkie! Luckily we had a few friends from the tour we travelled to Jo'Berg with until we said our final goodbyes!

We arrived yesterday in Livingstone, the Zambezi waterfront is gorgeous. Right on the water, very hot but with lots of mischievous monkeys about! We were hoping to upgrade but this wasn't an option so we embraced tent life once again. There was a quick meeting about optional activities which turned out to be alot more stressful than we thought as alot of activities seemed to be full or nearly full and as a group of 22, people got a bit fractious! But it worked...

We decided as a group to stay one more day at the lake, we had a great chilled out day on the beach. That night and the next morning a freak tropical storm hit, high winds and torrential rain was not fun in the tent and not great conditions for taking this tent down before day light! We have spent 2 nights here, its a beautiful beach on the lake. Big stretch of beach and lovely crystal clear waters. Last night we had a traditional african meal cooked for us by guys from the Next village- one called Mel Gibson! We had a big party with our tour group, it was a really good, really funny night which involved dressing up in clothes bought from a dodgy side of the road stall, punch mixed in a cooler and alot of dancing and singing on the bar. ...
