We spent the last few days in Koh Tao chilling out and enjoying the sun on the beach when it came out! To endure the rain showers we treated ourselves to a massage :). I had a coconut oil massage which was really good and relaxing and a traditional Thai massage. I felt I had to experience it and I was interested to know their different style and techniques. I had heard a lot of stories about an hour of pain but I actually found it very enjoyable. I like a good deep tissue treatment! No oil is used and after figuring how to get into my baggy trousers and linen top I was lying on the floor while she trod on, massaged and elbowed pressure points from my feet all the way up to my head. Even though I was bent and stretched in a wide array of positions it really worked, a few loud joint clicks later and I felt nearly as good as new. Enjoyed a refreshing, cleansing jasmine tea and I was ready for bed!
Our journey to Siem Reap, Cambodia was very easy and hassle free. We had heard bad things about the land border so we decided to look into flying. We got a good deal and although more expensive we were happier. We arrived in Cambodia and had our first cheery passport control and visa check, they had a lot of banter and actually smiled and joked with us, all other countries we've experienced they've had very stern, serious powerful faces on and don't speak a word to you!
Our free transfer from the airport turned out to be us piling ourselves and heavy backpacks into a batman themed Tuk-Tuk but it was a fairly funny 15 minute trip.
Today we've found new accommodation and got ourselves sorted, we both weren't too happy about our first spot we picked, just had a funny feeling about it so we're checking out and moving on before exploring Angkor watt and the magnificent temples around it by bicycle.
