Another day dawns and we play again. In the morning the tourists went shopping or swimming whichever took their fancy, many taking the chance to buy a Subway or McDonalds. You can only eat so much local food! We were again playing at the magnificent Bukit stadium. The boys continued their assignment against the St. Francis Institution, having lost 1-4 the day before. A tough challenge if ever there was one. It looked like a large mountain to climb as the side struggled to play with any consistency in the first ten minutes, but after a few carefully considered substitutions the team began to play with more conviction. They eventually lost 1-3, mainly due to the great short corner routines by the opposition and our own inability to score goals from the many chances that we created. A story oft repeated in all our matches.

The girls took on an equally tough assignment, against a much improved side from yesterday which included more adults and less youth. The game was evenly contested and the girls played some great attacking hockey coming back twice to square the score at two all. Though they created many chances and on the whole played the better hockey the opposition eventually proved better finishers winning 4-2.

In the evening, after much wheeling and dealing by LGH, we got a great deal at the Hard Rock Cafe and went to dinner for our first tour meal. Much enjoyed by all in a beautiful setting by the river.
