After a 7am departure from Rangitata, we had a short drive to Christchurch, where I hopped off the Stray bus for the last time to catch my flight to Bangkok to start my Cambodia & Vietnam trip.

I took a quick trip into the city of Christchurch to see the damage from the big earthquake back in February 2011. It was devastating to see, the whole city is destroyed. Particularly the old buildings are gone and they have put up make shift shops where these buildings were as you can see in the pic. I didn't take any more pictures, it just didn't feel right to.

I somehow found their Westfield shopping centre out of the town and did a few jobs, then off to catch my flight.
