Had to register with the crew office and hand in passports. In the next couple of days on the clipper website they are writing about me on meet the crew so if you go to www.clipperroundtheworld.com
And search on crew dairies for Helen Hancorn you should find me. When the race leaves on Monday 18th January you can go on their website and search on race viewer to see the boats race. Ours is the orange one you click on the boats to see which is which and it tells you how fast we are going.
Writing a blog is a great way to share the experience with those back home.
My brother Richard is a teacher at chatsmore high school and I understand - St. Columba House are following the trip so hi from Australia
I also signed up to face book when joining clipper and it's another great way of keeping in touch. My sister val has now signed up and it's great keeping in touch with my auntie Janet and cousin Elizabeth in Texas.
Had prize giving in the evening lmax the French boat was 1st Great Britain was 2nd and garmin came 3rd
Spent some time chatting to Charlotte Evans from GB she has an MBE for guiding visually impaired skier Kelly Gallagher in 2014 winter Paralympic Games. What a lovely girl !
