Arrived in Sydney at 12.15. Always a worry waiting for our bags but they all came through which was a relief.
Jumped in a taxi which took 20 minutes to our hotel costing 42 dollars !
The hotel we stayed in was like a throw back from the 70's ; but it's a bed and a shower at the end of the day !
We dumped off our bags and had a well needed shower the headed out.
Had a walk to Darling Harbour found a bar or two and had some Drinks and pizza.
Then headed back to hotel for a snooze.
Had 3 hours rest then got up and headed out to celebrate new year.
Couldn't believe how busy it was. Later found out 1.5 million people there!
Found a spot just by Sydney bridge and watched the fire works it was amazing. Mind you no time to get a drink and there was no drinking on the streets. Made it feel really safe.
So at 1am had a McDonald's then back to hotel to drink our complementary bottle of wine.
Fell asleep at 3am. A long but amazing day. One we will never forget.
