Woke at 10am ! Nice lie in. Went for breakfast. A ham and cheese toastie with a flat white coffee. Usually drink black at home but the flat whites are nice here. It rained a lot today. Alarm went 7.30am. We had a boat trip booked. First stop taronga zoo. It was amazing and the best part was the family of gorillas could sit and watch them all day. Carl really wanted to touch a koala but the closest he got to this was a large teddy bear type one! Didn't wake up til 10am! Walked to darling harbour and booked a trip to the zoo for tomorrow. Had a walk to Sydney bridge then onto opera house. Found a bar had some beers and an amazing burger : best I have ever had so delicious. Went to the opera house at 7pm to see "all you need is love " it was a tribute to the Beatles so an orchestra bang and singers did their stuff!! Woke at 9am had a coffee in our room and left at 10.15 The aim was to find a bar by 11am which was midnight at home in the uk so we could celebrate it drinking a glass of fizz or two. Arrived in Sydney at 12.15. Always a worry waiting for our bags but they all came through which was a relief. Jumped in a taxi which took 20 minutes to our hotel costing 42 dollars ! The hotel we stayed in was like a throw back from the 70's ; but it's a bed and a shower at the end of the day ! We dumped off our bags and had a well needed shower the headed out.
