It was a busy day today first we went to the Citadel of Salah Edin, and the Mohammd Ali Mosque.They are situated at the highest point of Cairo so you get a great view of Downtown Modern Cairo and can even see the Giza pyramids in the distance.Next we drove into the heart of Cairo and went to the Egyptian Museum there heaps of antiquities but the best thing in the Museum is the Tutankhamen display.After the Museum we went to the Khan El Khalili Bazaar and had lunch at a local café followed by some time to walk the streets and try and bargain with the local vendors.We followed this with a trip to the jewelry store where we could buy many pieces of handmade Egyptian jewelry (I picked the cheapest thing I could find but also liked).We headed back to the hotel and agreed to meet some of the group for dinner at a restaurant down the road.This was our first dinner outside the hotel and it was interesting trying to order when you couldn't say the names of the things but the waiter was very helpful and I ended up with lamb so I was happy and Rene liked his so all was good.We are both looking forward to tomorrow because we get to go in a pyramid.
