The sun is just rising over the dam ( lake to us) and shining in through our bedroom windows. Around us are grape vines, an olive grove,an orange grove, some sheep in fields and then the bush. What a perfect place to wake up.
We arrived yesterday afternoon at Bunty and Bruce's farm "Woodbury" our home for the next few weeks.
Margaret River is just down the road and this is serious wine country. I am sure our itinerary will take in the odd wine tasting here and there. We are also near the coast and it's the time of year for the whales so we will hopefully go out on a whale watching trip at some point.
For the next few days though we are just going to unpack the cases for the first time in a month and not have any particular plan to follow.
Tonight we have been invited to supper by the neighbours who are coming to collect us in their 4x4. We are certainly getting a big warm Aussie welcome. How lucky we are. Just one thing missing - Scampi would love it here!
