Howdy from Dublin!! We arrived safely around 735pm local time the day before yesterday (so it was the 13th i think) and i love it here. the houses are so cute! and the people are WONDERFUL!!! So helpful! We got on the bus from the airport and knew where we were supposed to get off but werent able to find anywhere where it said what stop we were at!! So we were a little afraid seeing as how our experiences in florence with the busses werent so great (if you dont remember we ended up somewhere that wasnt in florence...) But fortunately the lady sitting in front of us heard us sort of freaking out trying to find the stop we were currently at and she told us that she knew where we were going and would let us know the stop before that!! It was GREAT! After we finally got to the hostel i wanted to set out to get some Irish Stew (veggies, potatoes and meat.. yum) but apparently people stop early here too. so we ended up at an Eddie Rockets which was like a johnny rockets but not good. It was a bummer but it was food. Then yesterday we went to St. Patricks Cathedral which was amazing! it was so beautiful! we took a ton of pictures. Then form there we went to Christ CHurch which has been standing for SOOOOOOO long! it was incredible to think of how many people had been through there! they had a crypt too which was pretty cool. I thought it might be a little scarry being a crypt and all but it was more like a museum so it wasnt bad. THen from there we went to the Guinnes factory and saw how they made the beer. Dani got to make the 1722nd batch of guiness which was pretty funny. it was a bit cheezy but it was cool! then we went up to the gravity bar which gives you a 360 degree view of Dublin and a free pint with a ticket thingy you get when you buy the tour. Unfortunately it was pretty cloudy and rainy so the view wasnt a lot but it was still really cool to me!! i took some pictures and even drank 1/2 the beer! i think it was a bit much for me but it wasnt so bad... i DEFINITELY couldnt drink more than a few sips but we did the mustache thing like we were told to so that was pretty funny! After that we were going to go on a pub crawl but it was raining pretty hard and was cold and we were pretty tired so we decided against it. The night life has been pretty slow but i think its because its the middle of the week. It has been nice to sort of slow down a bit. I love Ireland so far but am definitely ready to come home! Today we were going to go out into the country but we didnt know they left so early so by the time we were awake they had left already... =( i was pretty sad as i hear the ireland countryside is really something to see but again... something else to push me to get back here! I think we might try to hit the Jameson distillery and a peaceful park today... nothing spectacular. Then tomorrow afternoon we head back to london for the last stop on this crazy ride!
Well, thats it for now but i will try to write again in London... if not i will see you in 4 days!!! =)
xoxo, Chanelle
