Spent most of the day on Praia do Pontal, a small beach in the town. Enjoyed lazing around and swimming in the warmest waters we had seen for some time. Lunched on shark fingers and chips, accompanied with some lovely fruit juices at one of the cafes on the sand.
Walked through some of the cobbled streets of the old town, admiring the brightly coloured houses and boats, perusing some art, and sampling coconuts and cakes.
Mexican food night at the hostel accompanied of course by Caipirinhas. English, Irish and Dutch shared stories of travelling woe and wonder.
