Monday 15th June

We left Koh Tao at around two o clock in the afternoon and got the fast ferry to chumporn. We had to hang around for 3 hours in Chumporn before our overnight coach to bangkok left so we went and had a meal and chilled at a bar where bankse spent his whole time chatting up the 30 year old thai bar maid called noon only later to find out that she was married to an english guy who owned the bar!! After this we headed up to bangkok on an 8 hour overnight coach, it was pretty s*** really and i got no sleep at all!

Tuesday 16th June

We arrived in bangkok at 5 am and headed straight for our hostel, D & D Inn. Luckily when we got there we were allowed to check in so i went straight to bed in my single room (they didnt have any big rooms left) and woke up about 3 o clock feeling much better. After an afternoon of chilling on the Khaosan road, walking round the stalls etc. we got some dinner at an irish bar and then went down the road and caught the secong half of the lions game. We then headed back to the hotel and set up a huckleberry which was quickly consumed between 12 of us, one of the 12 people being this crazy dutch guy called leon who spent the rest of the evening with us. After huckleberry we went to THE CLUB (well thats what it is called) and had a pretty good night. THE CLUB shut at 2 so we headed to a few other clubs but you had to pay to go in so we couldn't be bothered so we sat up at the pub next to our hotel till 5 am getting pretty messy seeing as it was quite a few people s last night.

Wednesday 17th June

After a long lie in and a macdonalds the hangover cleared and i went and got a couple of suits tailored! 2 3 piece suits coming right up, picking them up when i go back to bangkok after laos! Apart from getting suits tailored we did nothing but mope around all afternoon in the hotel lobby. We then got our overnight bus up to chiang mai at 6 o clock.

CHIANG MAI

Thursday 18th June

After 12 hours on a pretty average coach where henry had managed to grab the four back seats, lucky s***! We all felt pretty tired and especially as we arrived in the rain we all just wanted a bed! So we headed over to our hostel, julie's where we found out that we could check in till 12 so we went and slept on the roof for 4 hours. After checking in we headed up to this massive temple on top of a hill looking down over chiang mai. I think it was called Wat Prangbang something something but it was all made of gold and absolutely stunning!! We then headed home, had some dinner and then headed to the night market for some serious bartering and cheap buys. After this me bankse, henry and jack headed out. At our first bar we were all sitting there having a beer and an elephant walked in! What are the chances of that! We then headed off with this crazy tuk tuk driver who was drunk and shouting at lady boys to a club called V Club. I ended up buying a bottle of vodka and we danced to the amazing thai electro house! Awesome! We then headed to spicy bar where we met two american guys called greg and dave. After an awesome evening we got a tuk tuk home (jack fell out outside the hostel) and sat up in the garden until the sun came up! What a night!

Friday 19th June

After going to bed at 6 am we ended up sleeping well into the afternoon. Eventually though we all got up, had some food and then headed down to the tiger kingdom. I stroked a massive fully grown 200kg tiger! Awesome! And we saw lion and tiger cubs! Was a pretty good laugh! We then headed to the night market again for a few more deals and then an early night. Lost my wallet!!

Saturday 20th June

We headed down to the elephant park, where we watched elephants play football, paint pictures (really good), dance, play harmonicas etc. It was absolutely awesome, especially for 120 baht (2 quid). Tonight though we are leaving to head up to laos, a seriously long journey lie ahead of us!!!
