Monday 4th May

After driving to Hervey Bay from Noosa the day before, we woke up early and got in our pink 4 x 4 s and headed over to fraser island on the ferry in the rain which wasnt all that great. We drove across the island and then set up camp and then went on a long walk in the rain to Lake Wabby where we spent the afternoon running down the sand dunes into the lake. We then headed back to camp, chilled out, got on the numerous amount of beers we had and had some burgers on the bbq.

Tuesday 5th May

After a very bad nights sleep in the sandiest tent ever! We headed up to indian head and took in the awesome views of the white beach, blue sky and crystal clear water. We then headed back down the beach stopping at the pinnacles (coloured sand cliffs) and the SS Maheno, a rusty old shipwreck which was used as a bombing target in WW2. We then headed down the beach and set up camp, and went on a little walk to the biggest freshwater creek on the island for a little dip and a wash! After a evening on ring of fire and spag bowl we hit the sand for anothe uncomfortable nights sleep.

Wednesday 6th May

We all woke up early and headed off to lake Mckenzie, which was a really nice crystal clear lake surrounded by white sand. We chilled there until after lunch had a long swim across the whole lake and then headed back in the 4 x 4 to the ferry to head back to the mainland and an all u can eat chinese.
